If you are coming from the UK into Europe you will need an Animal health certificate
instead of a passport. Your pet’s animal health certificate will be valid after the date of issue for:

This appointment can take up to an hour and may require you to return to collect the certificate and only specific vets are able to issue it.
You will need an up-to-date rabies vaccination.
Remember If your pet needs a rabies vaccination, you must wait 21 days after the vaccination date before you get an animal health certificate.
Day 1 is the day after vaccination.
You also must get your pet microchipped before, or at the same time as, their rabies vaccination

A vet must treat your dog for tapeworm and record it in the pet passport or health certificate every time you want to bring it to Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland).
The treatment must have been given no less than 24 hours and no more than 120 hours (5 days) before you enter Great Britain. Your dog can be refused entry or put into quarantine if you do not follow this rule

NO MEAT DOG FOOD OR DAIRY TREATS ON THE SHUTTLE INTO FRANCE.
Pets must be muzzled and on a lead at all times when travelling with brittany ferries.
We are going to check with our insurance if Wilson will be covered for the whole 90 days whilst in Europe as he would be here... It's on the to do list!
